I know a thing or two about toddlers and what they eat and what they drink. They want to eat sweets, candy, chocolate and soda. They want to eat nothing but junk food all day everyday. This is probably the main cause of constipation. Especially in toddlers because their stomach lining and intestines are a bit more sensitive than ours. Lets face it if we could we would eat nothing but junk food all day every day as well. We we have to be realistic about this because we need a balanced diet in order to maintain a healthy body. Luckily if your child is dealing with some constipation issues right now I can give you a couple of home remedies for constipation in toddlers. I will share with you the ultimate natural toddler remedies for constipation.
1.Bananas
This is my favorite quick remedy and it works pretty much every single time you try it. Bananas are a natural laxative and they are very healthy for your colon and intestines. If your little one is having trouble trying to do the deed then you should really try having them eat a banana. Toddlers love banana's because they are sweet and delicious. They will not even think twice about it and it will help them with their problem sooner than you would think.
2.Prune Juice
Alone with a banana my favorite of the home remedies for constipation in toddlers. If you can go to the store and get a bottle of organic and pure prune juice its going to help your toddler more than you could ever imagine. Its another natural laxative and its also very healthy for your colon as well. You should honestly always keep some prune juice in your fridge for this exact problem. Especially if your toddler gets constipated more than often.
3.Exercise
A little bit of exercise can actually go quite a long way. Even if its just a little bit of running around. The more exercise that your children is doing the more the bowels will be moving which means it will loosen the stools more than normal. You will start to notice a difference pretty soon because they might even need to go to the bathroom instantly after doing a bit of exercise.
So there you go those are my absolute three favorite home remedies for constipation in toddlers. Thanks for checking out the blog!
